One Zen Master's discipline was conversing
with another Zen Master's disciple. The
first disciple said, "Our Master is a man of
miracles. He can do anything he wants. I have
seen him perform many miracles. What is the
great thing about your Master? What miracles
can he do?
The second disciple replied, "The greatest miracle that my master can do is not to perform miracles."
Ancient Zen Story
When it comes to 'record breaking' and things of that nature, we at Blaze take it all very lightly.
We are not in the business of making the longest fires in the world. Or the hottest. Or having the most people in the world ever to walk at once. Or being the most spectacular thing since sliced bread. Whatever.
We never loose sight of our central purpose, which is: to be the leaders in creating exciting fire walking fundraising events for charities worldwide.
Events which grab the media attention - but are safe and carefully executed.
Naturally over the years we have been presented with various 'record breaking' opportunities, some of which we have availed ourselves of - just for the fun of it. Wnat to see how not to break the record?

The European distance for walking on fire - 60ft of red hot coals! This was shown on the TV show 'Record Breakers' in 2001.

The Worlds Longest Glasswalk. - 120ft of razor sharp broken glass, Barefoot! We did this in 2002 as a media friendly event on behalf of St. Lukes Hospice in Essex.

The World Record for walking on hands across hot coals (!) We did this last week on TV because it seemed such a wonderfully pointless record to hold! Very Zen! Click on the following image to find out who this mysterious man is:
The current world distance record for walking on hot coals stands now at 220ft.
